About this urn
The EarthRise™ is a cremation urn made by Loop from mushroom mycelium grown with upcycled hemp fibre. It takes 7 days to grow at Loop's facility in Delft, is 100% natural and is GreenLeave certified.
Buried in soil, the urn fully biodegrades within about 45 days and becomes part of the ground around it. This makes it suited to a natural burial site, a family garden or a woodland.
A plant or tree can be placed in the lid, so the urn becomes a living memorial that grows over time. Kept above ground, it holds its shape and can stay at home or in a memorial space.
The urn holds 4 litres and stands 32 cm tall.
